This was the central message at a Pinktober awareness gathering hosted by Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers, highlighting the importance of early detection, regular health checks and open conversations about breast cancer.
Held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the hotel’s Pinktober Runway brought together women and community members for an afternoon of meaningful discussions, solidarity and shared experiences, going beyond the traditional pink ribbon campaign.
Leading the wellness discussion was Dr. Rana Al Zoubi, Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Trellis Hospital, who encouraged women to become more informed about their breast health, personal risk factors and appropriate screening options.
A Community United in Solidarity
One of the most meaningful moments of the afternoon was a symbolic Pinktober runway walk, where guests came together in solidarity with women affected by breast cancer. The walk represented strength, hope and encouragement, honouring survivors and reminding those facing the disease that they are not alone.
Guests also participated in a bouquet-making experience hosted by flowers.ae, symbolising care and solidarity. The afternoon was further complemented by contributions from wellness and lifestyle supporters, including Korean-inspired wellness drink EVIRON, Health Nation, and Eden Blossom Luxury Salon, creating a welcoming environment for connection and conversation.
