The Republic of Uzbekistan strongly condemns the deadly attack carried out by the Houthis against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives and injuries to civilians.
Uzbekistan extends its heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as to all those affected by this tragic incident. It also wishes the injured a swift and full recovery.
The Republic of Uzbekistan reaffirms its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure constitute a serious violation of international law and must cease immediately. The protection of civilian lives and the safety of vital and critical infrastructure must remain an absolute priority.
Uzbekistan calls for an immediate end to such attacks and urges all parties to exercise restraint, avoid further escalation and seek to resolve differences through dialogue and diplomatic means, in accordance with international law and the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
The Republic of Uzbekistan expresses its full solidarity with the Government and brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterates its commitment to supporting peace, security and stability in the region.
