Amman, Jordan – 29 October 2025: The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has announced optimistic expectations for the return of strong tourism activity to the Kingdom at the beginning of the upcoming winter season. This comes in light of recent geopolitical developments related to the cessation of the war in Gaza, which have led to improved regional conditions and a positive impact on travel across the region.
Jordan Tourism Board emphasized that these positive indicators coincide with the resumption of flights to Jordan by several low-cost airlines, which will contribute to boosting visitor inflows to the Kingdom and supporting the tourism sector along with related economic sectors.
The Jordanian tourism industry is very optimistic about a promising winter season this year. The resumption of low-cost flights at this crucial time represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen tourism to Jordan, especially with the relative improvement in the regional geopolitical landscape. This momentum will have a direct positive impact on various economic sectors, particularly tourism, transport, services, and hospitality.
Today, Jordan enjoys a leading position as a safe and diverse tourism destination, rich in natural and cultural experiences. A noticeable increase in the number of visitors from Europe and the GCC countries during the upcoming winter season is expected.
Low-cost airline Ryanair will resume its flights to Amman starting this October as part of the winter schedule 2025/2026, launching routes from 18 different destinations to Amman (QAIA). The airline is expected to run 84 weekly flights (300k seats) to Amman from 18 major European cities, including Milan, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, Bologna, Brussels, Bucharest, Venice, Prague, Krakow, Baden-Baden, Sofia, Poznan, Pisa, Paphos, and Memmingen from 12 EU countries during the upcoming winter season, strengthening air connectivity between Jordan and Europe like never before.
The Kingdom has also witnessed the gradual return of Wizz Air operations through the Budapest – Amman route, with two weekly flights that resumed in August 2025, along with the return of the Luton – Amman route on October 26, 2025, with 4 weekly flights. Wizz Air will operate only these two routes to Jordan during the Winter 2025/2026 season.
Eurowings, the German low-cost airline, has officially launched its inaugural flight to Jordan on October 27, 2025, following the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Jordan Tourism Board. The new service connects Stuttgart with Amman, further strengthening Jordan’s connectivity with Europe and contributing to the growing network of low-cost routes serving the Kingdom.
JTB also called on citizens and residents of GCC countries to explore the beauty of Jordan’s winter and enjoy a unique experience that combines mild weather, stunning natural landscapes, and authentic Jordanian hospitality. The Jordan Tourism Board emphasized that Jordan’s proximity and ease of access make it an ideal destination for short weekend getaways or family vacations, whether in Amman, the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, or Aqaba.
