Tiësto, thrills audience with high-energy, nightclub-style party atmosphere for final hours of Expo 2020 Dubai

DUBAI, 1 April 2022 – He was the first DJ to play the Olympics in Athens, 2004; in 2011 he pulled the biggest crowd for a solo electronic act in US history, filling a 26,000-seat arena, and on Thursday (31 March), until the small hours of 1 April, iconic DJ Tiësto showed the world why he’s still one of most sought after performers in the game.

With a huge following and a career spanning almost three decades, the Dutch DJ and record producer, nicknamed the Godfather of Electronic Dance Music, created the blueprint that defines what it means to be a success in today’s dance music world.

Various genres from across the industry were on showcase at Jubilee Park as Tiësto played out a banging set that demanded to be danced to, including plenty of tunes from his Ultra 2022 set, much to the delight of the audience who lost themselves in the trance of pounding beats, racing breakdowns and spiralling sonics to dance without abandon.

Grammy award-winning, and platinum-certified, Tiësto has more than eight billion global streams across platforms, 36 million-plus total record sales, 30 million-plus social media followers and more than 160 million TikTok video views across users.
