UAE’s NAFFCO FZCO implements Arcserve UDP 9000 Series Appliances to boost productivity and performance

The company has observed a 50% increase in seamless application performance as well as savings in the cost of operations

Dubai, UAE – November 9, 2022 – Arcserve, the world’s most experienced provider of backup, recovery and immutable storage solutions for unified data resilience against ransomware and disasters, today announced that the UAE-based NAFFCO FZCO –  the world’s leading producers and suppliers of top-tier firefighting equipment, fire protection systems, fire alarms, security and safety engineering systems worldwide – has implemented Arcserve UDP 9000 Series Appliances to boost productivity and create seamless application performance.

To modernise its operations and further strengthen its data resilience, NAFFCO needed a new data protection solution that was cost-effective, scalable and flexible with integrated cyber-security features to secure its critical digital assets. Working closely with Arcserve local partner Gerab, the Arcserve Appliances 9360DR and 9096DR were deployed in the organisation’s Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices to protect NAFFCO’s 45 physical servers and 100 virtual machines and streamline the organisation’s IT environment.

“The solutions have helped increase productivity by 100 per cent, as well as led to 50 per cent more seamless application performance and 50 per cent savings in the cost of operations. Arcserve Appliances are easy to manage and come loaded with features, the most important being full cyber security protection against ransomware. The management interface is extremely simple to understand and easy to use,” said Mohannad Hennawi, Group IT Manager at NAFFCO FZCO.

A recent study found that the loss of critical data continues to disrupt businesses and remains an issue for organisations. In the research study of experiences and attitudes of IT decision-makers, 76% of respondents reported a severe loss of critical data in their organisation. Of that number, 45% had permanent data loss.

“In an increasingly digital world, the onus is on organisations to ensure optimum data resilience and robust business continuity processes against complex ransomware attacks. Businesses like NAFFCO FZCO continue to demonstrate the importance of integrated data backup, recovery and cyber security appliances to strengthen their overall data resilience,” said Florian Malecki, executive vice president of marketing at Arcserve.
