2023 marks the beginning of Ariston Group’s journey towards its 2030 vision

Company hopes to meet its initial seven-year sustainability related targets set for 2022

Dubai. January 2023.

2022 set the stage for the first part of Ariston Group’s journey towards sustainability. The Group embraced nine of the 17 sustainable development goals set by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015 and independently set three overarching goals linked to sustainability to achieve by 2022: 80% of revenue from efficient and renewable solutions, saving 3 million tons of CO2 through the company’s evolved technologies and bringing comfort in extreme conditions.  Year-end 2021 already saw 74% of revenues generated from sustainable solutions while savings in CO2 had crossed 2 million tons.

Alberto Torner, Head of Ariston Group in the Middle East, Turkey, and Caucasus says, “The Ariston Group’s purpose is to provide everyone, in every corner of the world, with high-quality heating and hot water solutions, while protecting the environment. We at Ariston Middle East support that ethos and contribute to it wherever we can. We have several projects across the region that showcase our innovation driven by our commitment to sustainability. Ariston heat pumps demonstrate the work we have done to harness natural resources effectively and our solar energy solutions also exhibit the cutting innovative edge we offer to sustainable living. Some of our most efficient projects combine the power of heat pumps with solar energy to produce impressive results.”عام 2023 نقطة انطلاق رحلة مجموعة أريستون نحو تحقيق رؤيتها بالاستدامة لعام 2030

Upcoming projects in the UAE include a new five star hotel with a capacity of approximately 340 rooms in Abu Dhabi. The hotel has 30 floors with approximately 12 rooms on each floor and an investment of around two million AED in its system to heat 30,622 litres water a day. Ariston Middle East will fit five 160 kw Heat Pumps plus six 5000 litre calorifiers to fulfil the requirement. Although the original demand was for a thermodynamic solar system, Ariston Middle East engineers were able to present tangible evidence from current and past work done that they could fulfil the requirement with heat pumps and calorifiers thereby assuring the hotel a saving of almost 50% on energy cost.

Such dynamic solutions are under implementation in other projects around the country including a residential tower in Jumeirah Village Circle, Seven City in JLT and Project Pulse Beachfront Villas for Dubai South.

All the projects implement Ariston’s innovative technology to minimise energy and contribute to raising the bar on sustainable living aligned to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s outlook on 2023 as the ‘Year of Sustainability’. The recently concluded Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week – ADSW 2023 highlights the commitment of the UAE to accelerate the world’s sustainable development. Technology and Innovation are one of the three principles on which ADSW focuses to take action.

“We will continue to build on the success we have achieved in the Middle East and specially in the GCC. We are pleased to see the commitment of the UAE towards sustainability and are proud to be corporate citizens that are leading in these efforts.” Torner concluded.
